Our Scuba 2000 trips to France are for keen divers with Deep diver cert that like to relax with the charms of the French Riviera. Short flights and transfers are a nice bonus to the south of France trips. We only take Small and personal groups. A maximum of 10/12 people per trip.. Alex or one of his team gives us detailed and informative dive briefings. You will be looked after and made to feel very welcome. The Climate is warm and the food & drink fantastic. Makes for a great long weekend or week away.
The dives are mostly Rib boat dives. We avoid busy dive sites when we can and are in the business of delivering and high average quality of dive.
Dive sites are as Karen knows a mix of deep pinnacles, vertical drop offs, shallow plateaux, swim through, canyons, caverns and a small but pretty interesting wreck lying in 26 metres. Very good for digital underwater photography with lots of interesting macro life. We also have an underwater village and a cavern carpeted with encrusting sponges and jewel anemones which is home to a statue of Commandant Yves Le Prieur, inventor of the first open circuit breathing apparatus. (Cousteau later tweaked his idea to invent the regulator and got all the credit!)
Marine life highlights include octopi, congers, morays, grouper, barracuda, bonite, gorgonian fans, dentex, huge schools of Sar, and when you catch the conditions right, viz of 25 metres plus. The groups we have had previously have loved it down here, as it is a great part of the world, the diving is always above expectations, and the après dive and social side of things is very good indeed!. And of course, being the South of France the food and wine are excellent (a firm KP fav trip)
